6th, 2pm – The Changing face of Hulme, Library Meeting Room
o A talk and discussion and contributions
on how Hulme has changed over the years, its regenerations and how it is likely
to physically change in the next few years.
Saturday October
13th, 12 midday - A Walking Tour of Hulme, From Hulme Library
o A tour of the area looking at its
landmarks past and present, its industry and looking at the hidden histories in
the streets of Hulme.
Saturday October
13th, 2pm – Hulme People, Library Meeting Room
o After the tour, Hulme People will be a
social/ story-telling event to share tales of people, places and events. Or
just to catch up with people you haven’t seen for a while.
Saturday October
20th, 2pm – The Future of Hulme, Library Meeting Room
o
What does the future hold for Hulme? There are physical changes, there
are social changes happening in the city but how do these affect Hulme and what
is happening in Hulme that will affect the city? A talk then panel discussion
and contributions. This will be the HHM closing event for this year.
